New Fireplace!

We decided to upgrade our fireplace for the winter.  We only used it a few times in the winter of 2010-11, the first year we moved in.  The fan was loud and it wasn't very efficient.

Here is the after picture.  It was quite a mess of dust when they put the rock on, but we are pleased with the work and look forward to being cozy and cuddling in this winter!  The mantel is alderwood, as are the window bench seats that we upgraded as well.  We found some leftover carpet in the garage and have since gotten that patched in.

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving 2012 was again hosted at our house.  Grandpa and Jason, Nana and Papa, Scott & Jenn and Max and Magnus were here along with the current fellow Jesse, Cristin, and Emerson.  The Kelso family went to Minot, ND to be with Katie this year.  TJ was on-call again this year but, amazingly, didn't have to go in once.  We watched football, had a wonderful turkey dinner and the kids played well together--and quietly.
